Read it before you die. Also Feed My Dear Dogs by Emma Richtler (I think that's her name, I think that's what the books's called, but I might be a bit out on some details). I don't know if either of them are your kind of thing although anyone who doesn't cry at the end of the Niffeneger is probably a psychopath and should be kept in a cushioned cell for hte duration of their days.
